Minnesota 83, UCLA 63

The  No. 11 Minnesota Gophers were out to prove a point in Austin on Friday night against No.6 UCLA and they emphatically made that point with a 20-point victory over the Bruins.

Andre Hollins had a huge night for the Gophers by scoring 28 points and shooting 5-of-8 from three-point range.

UCLA freshman Shabazz Muhammad tried to lead his team back in the second half but his efforts came to no avail.

Minnesota will now play No. 3 Florida in the round of 32 on Sunday.
