You didn't think we were going to get through the entire round of 64 without a top-two seed going down, did you?
Sure, Harvard toppled No. 3 New Mexico on Thursday night, but this has been the season of parity. The unexpected has become the ordinary. There just had to be a No. 15 seed shock the world.
Thank you, Florida Gulf Coast.
The mighty Eagles of the Atlantic Sun Conference, who beat Miami earlier this season, sent No. 2 Georgetown packing on Friday night with a dominant 78-68 win.
The Eagles backcourt of Sherwood Brown and Bernard Thompson combined for 47 points and 16 rebounds and Hoyas' superstar Otto Porter Jr. was held to 13 points on 5-of-17 shooting leading to the shocker.

For the uninitiated, Enfield is the wife of FGCU head coach Andy Enfield, and she is not difficult on the eyes.

Pitt thinks Georgetown is embarrassing the Big East3/23/2013, 12:20:30 AM
CBS Sports' Doug Gottlieb, meanwhile, pointed out that the Big East criticism wasn't limited to the Hoyas as Pittsburgh got destroyed by Wichita State on Thursday night:

If Georgetown loses, they'll only be missing a 13 and 16 seed in early-round upset bingo.3/23/2013, 12:43:57 AM
Unfortunately for Georgetown, the Hoyas aren't strangers to the wrong side of upsets in the NCAA tournament (via CBS Sports' Jeff Borzello):

At least they're winning something.
When Georgetown, a team that normally relies on its defensive prowess, fell behind by double digits and was forced to score quickly, Sports Illustrated's Andy Glockner had this perfect comparison:
The Hoyas made it slightly interesting in the final moments, but then Brett Comer threw Chase Fieler an epic alley-oop that sealed the win and nearly shut down Twitter.
