Indians Trim Roster, Final Rotation Spot Down to Kazmir or Carrasco

The final spot in the Cleveland Indians starting rotation is down to two pitchers. Left-hander Scott Kazmir or righty Carlos Carrasco will hope to claim the fifth starter job over the final nine days of spring camp. Thursday morning the Tribe reduced its spring roster again, this time sending RHPs Trevor Bauer and Corey Kluber down to Triple-A Columbus. Bauer and Kluber were both in a competition along with Kazmir and Carrasco for the final job in the starting five.
