Premier League: Suarez, Manchester United, Falcao in Latest Transfer Talk

    One of the joys of an international weekend is the number of transfer speculation stories in the newspapers with no Premier League matches to cover.

    Yaya Toure, Luis Suarez and Sergio Aguero are among the high-profile figures featured in the "who's linked with who" articles.

    And Manchester United and Chelsea are among the top-flight clubs eyeing potential newcomers this summer.

Manchester City

    A question mark remains over the Manchester City futures of Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Yaya Toure, according to newspaper reports.

    Aguero is a target for Real Madrid, claims the Daily Star, with a £45 million bid being used to lure City into business for the Argentine striker.

    Midfielder Toure could be on Chelsea's radar, according to The Sun, while Real Madrid are also weighing up a move for the Ivory Coast international, who has reportedly told City he will leave in the summer if a new deal is not completed by Saturday (Sky Sports).

    Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a potential target for City and Chelsea, says the Daily Express, while City striker Dzeko is admired by Borussia Dortmund (The Sun).

    Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has put City on alert, according to the Manchester Evening News, after admitting he could be tempted to leave Anfield.

    Liverpool have been quick to assure supporters the Uruguayan is going nowhere, but City would face possible competition from Bayern Munich and Juventus, per the Daily Express.

Chelsea

    The story of Radamel Falcao and Chelsea has become a never-ending tale, but the Daily Express claims the Stamford Bridge club are nearing their target.

    The Blues met with Atletico Madrid officials on Sunday the newspaper said after a report on Spanish television channel Punto Pelota.

    The Blues have also been linked with Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure and Shakhtar Donetsk's Henrikh Mkhitaryan in reports in The Sun and the Daily Express, respectively.

    Chelsea are also continuing their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen striker Andre Schurrle, according to the Express.

Manchester United

    Manchester United have revived their interest in FC Porto winger James Rodriguez, above, with Anderson traveling to Portugal as a makeweight in the £36 million deal, reported the Daily Mail.

    United are also eyeing Vasco da Gama defender Dede, according to the Daily Express, who also credit Liverpool with an interest in the centre-half.

    Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna is also a possible newcomer at Old Trafford, claimed talkSPORT, with Juventus also interested in the player.

Arsenal

    Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has dismissed a link with Arsenal in an interview with isport.com in his native Czech Republic (Daily Express).

    The Gunners have also been credited with an interest in Queens Park Rangers forward Loic Remy if the Loftus Road side are relegated from the Premier League this season (Daily Express).

    Arsenal have also maintained their interest in Athletic Bilbao defender Fernando Amorebieta, who is keen on a move to England his brother, per the Daily Express.
