La Salle 80. Boise State 71

59 years to the day since the No 13 La Salle Explorers won their only NCAA Tournament Championship, they won their first tournament game in 23 years in the First Four over No. 13 Boise State.

The Explorers had an exceptional night on the offensive end as four players scored in double digits. That group of players was led by Tyrone Garland, who scored 22 points.

La Salle shot an impressive 63% from the field as they advanced to the round of 64 to play No. 4 Kansas State on Friday.

Anthony Drmic scored 28 points in the losing effort for the Broncos.
