Fenerbahce-Galatasaray: The "Bad Boys" Of Turkish Derby Match Punished

The verdict is in for the ugly match between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray that happened last weekend.

The Turkish Football Federation's discipline committee came down hard and handed out suspensions.

Here are the suspensions:


Diego Lugano: 5 matches from Fenerbahce
Semih Senturk: 3 matches from Fenerbahce
Volkan Demirel: 3 matches from Fenerbahce

Arda Turan: 3 matches from Galatasaray

Emre Asik: 2 matches from Galatasaray

Sabri Sarioglu: 2 matches from Galatasaray

Galatasaray team president Adnan Polat was also suspended for 45 days from Galatasaray matches, and the Galatasaray team will play one match behind closed doors. Also, one Galatasaray home match will be played in out side of Istanbul.
