The Penn State Nittany Lions and Rutgers Scarlet Knights rivalry will finally make a comeback in the 2014 season.

The Nittany Lions and Scarlet Knights last met in 1995, when Penn State blew RU out by a score of 59-34 at Giants Stadium, the highest scoring game in the series.

The teams first met in 1918 and played every season from 1982-95.

Penn State should be the happy ones, because they lead the series 22-2.

"We are excited about renewing our rivalry with Rutgers," Curley stated. "We have played many memorable games with them. I am appreciative of the efforts of Bob Mulcahy for his enthusiasm to have Penn State return to upcoming schedules for Rutgers."

Going way back in the day, PSU has always been known for taking away Rutgers recruits from New Jersey, so a little revenge may be in their eyes when 2014 rolls around.
