For years, people have enjoyed listening to the color commentary of hall of famer John Madden on Fox and NBC.

Today, Madden retired from announcing after 30 years in the booth, spending his last three seasons on NBC for "Sunday Night Football," with Al Michaels.

"You know at some point you have to do this. I got to that point," Madden said on his radio show Thursday. "The thing that made it hard is not because I'm second guessing, "Is it the right decision?" But I enjoyed it so damn much."

Madden will be replaced by Cris Collinsworth, who will leave the NBC studio in New York and travel around with Michaels.

My only question: Does the Madden bus stop now?
