Seasoned squads that carry swagger and double-digit seeds into the NCAA men's basketball tournament often trouble Notre Dame.

The Irish have lost to veteran teams of double-digit seeds each of the last three NCAA postseasons and four of the last five. Winthrop started the slide in 2007 as a No. 11 seed. Old Dominion (also an 11) followed in 2010. Notre Dame was no match for No. 10 Florida State in 2011 before another No. 10 -- Xavier -- survived and advanced in 2012.
