A fan was escorted out of the Masters tournament in Augusta on Sunday after managing to duck under the spectator ropes and into a bunker.

Let’s just say he wasn’t local. As anyone who knows anything about the Masters knows, Augusta National is probably the most OCD club in the world. It’s why they’re the best.

Steven T. Davis, the 34-year-old idiot from Salt Lake, Utah, was removed from the Masters. Davis told security, who tried to confiscate his pass after the incident, that his badge “fell off” while he was in the bunker.

I highly doubt he’ll be allowed to return to Augusta National anytime soon.

The Augusta Chronicle reports Davis was most likely taken to jail on a disorderly conduct charge. Davis apologized, saying “I’m stupid. I don’t know why I did that. That was dumb.”

At least he’s aware of his incompetence. Let’s hope he doesn’t reproduce.
