Brooklyn Nets Assign Shengelia and Taylor to Springfield Armor

Brooklyn, NY – The Brooklyn Nets have assigned forward Tornike Shengelia and guard Tyshawn Taylor to the Springfield Armor of the NBA Development League, it was announced today by General Manager Billy King. This will be the fifth time this season Shengelia has been assigned to Springfield. In seven games with the Armor, Shengelia is averaging 25.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Shengelia recorded a triple-double with 22 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in his NBA D-League debut on 12/21 vs. Erie, and followed that showing with a 39-point outburst on 1/24 vs. Maine, which is tied for the third-most points scored in the NBA D-League this season on 17 field goals made (league-best).
