USA vs. Puerto Rico: World Baseball Classic 2013 Live Score, Analysis
After a tough ninth-inning loss to the Dominican Republic last night, Team USA returns to action tonight in Miami against Puerto Rico at Marlins Park in the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
Ryan Vogelsong takes the hill for the Americans while Nelson Figueroa gets the call for Puerto Rico.
First pitch after 7 p.m. ET.

Rollins nearly doubled Figueroa off second.

Luis Figueroa pinch hits and he hits a swinging bunt in the middle of no-man's land for an infield single.

Eric Hosmer is the hitter.
Romero will need four outs to earn the save.
On the second pitch, Hosmer hits a grounder to second to end the inning.
USA has cut the deficit to one as we go to the ninth.
Ben Zobrist is up and Cabrera just is throwing stuff low in the strike zone.
He draws a walk and it is a 4-3 game.
The crowd is really in it now.
Bases loaded, two out and the closer J.C. Romero will get the call.
With a full count, Stanton hits one off the end of the bat and fouls out to Aviles behind the bag at third.
For the first time tonight, chants of "U-S-A! U-S-A!" can be heard.

Miami Marlin Giancarlo Stanton, by the way, will be the hitter and Fernando Cabrera will be the pitcher.
Cedeno really only gave Mauer one pitch to hit and Mauer draws the full count walk to load the bases.
Just the one batter for Cedeno as he gets the hook.
Bases loaded, one out and the US is pounding at the door.
Xavier Cedeno—the left-hander—will face Mauer.
Cedeno walked Mauer Tuesday night.
Braun slaps the first pitch over the bag at third for a double.
Rollins scores, Phillips holds at third.
It is now 4-2.
Mauer up and we have a pitching change.
Phillips nails one down to Aviles at short but it takes a bounce and the shortstop has to eat it.
It's an infield single for Phillips as Ryan Braun comes to the plate as the tying run.
Ricky Bones, the pitching coach, comes out and we get ready to go.
Jimmy Rollins rocks a single off Carlos Rivera's glove at first.
That laser rolls into right and Phillips has the chance to move Rollins along.
De La Torre starts the eighth.
He gets Victorino to strike out swinging at breaking stuff at the ankles.
It will not be a clean inning for Bell as Carlos Rivera singles over second.
Gonzalez swings at the very first pitch, however, and grounds out to second.
Shane Victorino will lead off the eighth and the heart of the US lineup to follow.
After Aviles flies out to Stanton in the corner in right, Rios hits one into the same area for the second out.
Pitchers should not be afraid to let hitters make contact as this outfield is huge.

If the Americans are to come back, Bell needs to slam this door.
After a long battle, Adam Jones strikes out looking to end the inning on a full count pitch.
Jones did not degree and had a rather animated discussion with the home plate umpire. He was not tossed and Team USA strands two.

Soto should have let that ball go as Aviles would have had the double play.
Soto pays as Hosmer singles.
First and second with two out.

Zobrist hits one right back to Soto, but Soto takes too long to start the double play.
They get Stanton at second, but Zobrist beats out the relay.
Two out, runner on first for Hosmer.
Stanton delivers with a single to left.
USA is on the board with a run as Mauer jogs home.
Joe Mauer rumbles into third with a triple as he places one in the gap in right.
He's on third for Stanton and the Americans have their first extra base hit in 15 innings.
They haven't even had a runner in scoring position since the fourth inning last night.
