Chiefs Sign Daniel in Free Agency

Midway through Missouri's first spring football practice on Tuesday, a staffer alerted Coach Gary Pinkel that former quarterback Chase Daniel was coming back to Missouri. On the first day of NFL free agency, Daniel agreed to a three-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs after spending the last four seasons as Drew Brees' backup in New Orleans. "I've always been a Chase Daniel fan," Pinkel said. "I knew he'd make it in the NFL. The way he is, he just wants to play."
