Isiah Thompson Adds FIU Head Coaching Position to Resume

Former Detroit Pistons player and New York Knicks Head Coach/President was introduced at his new coaching gig in Miami, Florida.
This will be Isiah Thomas's first time in the college ranks and it's with a team that has been to the NCAA Tournament only once (1995).
The last time the FIU Panthers even had a winning season was in 1999, when they went 16-14.
While Isiah should make this team better in the Sun Belt Conference this upcoming season, his introduction was quite embarrassing.
Florida International University President Modesto A. Maidique spoke about the signing of Isiah as the new FIU basketball coach:
"We are excited to have Isiah Thomas join the FIU family, this is bigger than basketball and bigger than athletics. Having a nationally-recognized coach like Isiah at FIU will have a positive impact on our university as a whole, helping us achieve additional national exposure."
Wait, what? Did he just say what I think he said? Did he really just do that?
That's right FIU's President Modesto Madique called Isiah Thompson instead of Isiah Thomas.
That is just embarrassing for everyone at FIU, especially there new head coach Isiah Thomas.
I saw this on Jim Rome is Burning, it was classic.
