Aggregate score: 3-2. Chelsea qualify for the quarterfinals
The whistle goes, and Chelsea have just about made it through to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League.
A 3-1 win is enough to see them knock out Steaua Bucharest, 3-2 on aggregate, with Fernando Torres bagging the winner.
Juan Mata gave the blues the lead in the first half, before Steaua equalised on the stroke of half time through Vladi Chiriches, which left Chelsea needing two second half goals to go through. They responded with a firm John Terry header after the break, leaving Torres to fire home the winner—and there was still time for him to smash a penalty against the crossbar, too.

Chelsea 3 Steaua Bucharest 1 (aggregate score 3-2)
90+4'—A late counter for Steaua as they seek an uber-late winner, but Terry clears again. That should be it...
90+3'—He did get a touch—and should have scored! Torres beats three defenders on the byline and cuts it back, Benayoun just has to tap it in—but tries a backheel through his legs and doesn't get enough contact on the ball, which dribbles wide.
90+3'—Final seconds now surely. Not sure Yossi will even get a touch.
Chelsea sub: Yossi Benayoun on for Eden Hazard
90+1'—Terry boots the ball clear about 70 yards with Steaua threatening a late goal which would knock Chelsea out. Their subs have had no impact really.
Three minutes added time to be played
90'—We have played 90 minutes now, and Chelsea have David Luiz down injured in their own penalty area after Cech clatters him with his leg in an aerial challenge.
89'—Chelsea sub: Victor Moses on for Juan Mata
88'—Still 3-1, and still Chelsea attack. Torres lays the ball off for Mikel, but his shot is blocked at close quarters.

FERNANDO TORRES MISSES THE PENALTY!
He sends the keeper the wrong way but blasts his penalty high and hard—and it cracks back off the crossbar. Still 3-1.
Hazard dances past the captain Bourceanu and is tripped to the ground in the area. Clear penalty.
86'—PENALTY FOR CHELSEA!
84'—Chelsea keep piling forward and looking for a fourth goal. It would be confidence-boosting, perhaps, but in the scheme of things it doesn't really matter to Steaua if they concede another goal or not—one goal for themselves will see them through either way.

81'—Latovlevici lines up a swerving shot from 25 yards, but Cech gets behind the ball and saves at his near post. Chelsea counter attack with Torres in the box...but he's forced wide and away from goal by the defence.
Steaua sub: Rapa off, Sobrinho on.
80'—Into the final 10 minutes now. Tatu races forward with the ball at his feet but Luiz is across equally quickly to dispossess him.
Steaua sub: Tatu on for Tanase
77'—Oscar breaks into the box and shoots across the goal—but it's just wide.
75'—A quarter of an hour left. Do Chelsea keep attacking now, or sit tight and keep out Steaua? If the Romanians score again, Chelsea will need five.
72'—TORRES DOWN IN THE BOX...NO PENALTY! Torres checks back in the box and goes crashing to ground, and gets up covered in blood on his face—no idea how, maybe banged his nose on the grass—but the ref waves play on. Replay shows the ref got it right.
Chelsea 3-1 up and now finally ahead on aggregate. A lovely exchange in the penalty area sees the ball dummied so it runs to Torres, free on the left side of the area, and he takes a touch or two before lashing the ball home into the far corner of the net. 3-2 on aggregate to the blues.
