Avalanche assistant coach David Quinn is not taking calls from the Boston Globe, and through the Avs’ PR folks, he declined to talk to me today after practice. Quinn is probably one of a handful of former Boston University players in line to interview for the Terriers’ head-coaching job that will be available when the legendary Jack Parker steps down after this season. Avs coach Joe Sacco, who is from Medford, Mass., and also played for Parker at BU, might also have interest in one of college hockey’s best jobs. But Sacco didn’t want have much to say about the BU opening after practice today, before the team flew to Minnesota for Thursday’s game against the Wild in St. Paul.
