Pitching prospect Michael Fulmer was scheduled to undergo surgery Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, the Mets announced.

Fulmer, the team's supplemental-round selection (44th overall) in the 2011 First-Year Player Draft, is ranked 10th amongst Mets prospects on MLB.com's 2013 Prospect Watch. The right-hander went 7-6 with a 2.74 ERA in 21 starts for Class A Savannah last season, striking out 101 batters and walking 38 in 108 1/3 innings.
