Jordany Valdespin’s unofficial position as spring training began was “left out,” but his performance in camp is forcing the Mets to reconsider.
If Valdespin continues producing, he almost certainly will earn a spot on the opening day roster, a team official said yesterday.
“We might need that bat,” the official said.
