Given the Chiefs’ terrible record in 2012 and the presence of a new head coach (Andy Reid) and general manager (John Dorsey), sweeping changes to the roster — even core players — wouldn’t have been a complete surprise, considering the circumstances. Management changes often lead to personnel changes. It happens everywhere.
