TUCSON – On one end, Nick Johnson soared and dunked over Arizona State’s best defender. On the other, the Arizona sophomore guard locked up ASU’s best shooter.

When it was over, ASU forward Jonathan Gilling called Johnson strong, quick and annoying. In front of 14,545 fans Saturday, that served as a perfect mix as Johnson led No. 18 Arizona to a 73-58 win over ASU, completing a series sweep and wrapping up the regular season for both schools.

“Nick was the best player on the team today, possibly the best player out there,” Arizona coach Sean Miller said.
