The New York Knicks entered Saturday night's game against the Utah Jazz facing plenty of adversity. They were coming off of a last-minute loss and would be without star players Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire this evening.

Utah, meanwhile, was clinging to sole possession of the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference standings by the slimmest of margins.
