In last year’s draft, Ted Thompson bucked his draft history as the Green Bay Packers’ general manager and traded away extra picks to move up three times.

With $21 million in salary cap room this year, could Thompson again drastically break form, this time in free agency, and try to get his team over the top with aggressive pursuit of players on the open market this offseason?
