It was difficult to glean whether NBA Commissioner David Stern thinks the Warriors will make the playoffs or not. “The Warriors are having a terrific season,” the commissioner said Friday night in his first visit to Oracle Arena since the 2007 playoffs. “The team seems to be headed to the playoffs, but stay tuned for the last exciting weeks of the season.” Maybe he wanted to wait until after Friday’s game to make a clear declaration. In a game that meant so much for both the sixth-place Warriors and the seventh-place Rockets, Houston deleted a 13-point deficit and escaped with a 94-88 victory in front of Stern, an ESPN TV audience and the 19th consecutive sellout crowd at Oracle Arena.
