Houston Rockets vs. Golden State Warriors: Live Score, Results & Game Highlights
After a loss to the Dallas Mavericks, the Houston Rockets are looking to find their winning ways en route to solidifying their grasp on the back end of the Western Conference playoff picture.
With Stephen Curry and James Harden on the floor, there are bound to be fireworks all over the hardwood—Harden averaging 26.3 points per game (5th in NBA) and Curry averaging 22.1 (8th in NBA).

PLAYOFF PUSH: Big Rockets Win! Lakers win.Warriors 6th Rockets 7th (1 GB of GSW-own tiebreak) Jazz 8th (1.5 GB Rox) Lakers 9th (2 GB Rox)— Houston Rockets (@HoustonRockets) March 9, 2013
The Houston Rockets displayed a sign of a playoff-ready team Friday night against the Golden State Warriors—they never panicked.
On route to a gigantic 94-88 victory over the Warriors, the Rockets saw a double digit deficit more than once and yet, they rebounded back with resiliency.
What's even more impressive is that their superstar, James Harden, was having an awful shooting night, going 3-of-17 from the floor, and they still found a way to win against a playoff team.
Harden put together an inefficient, albeit well-balanced, performance, with 20 points, 11 assists, six rebounds and three steals.
While Harden was struggling from the floor, Chandler Parsons picked up the slack, adding 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field.
What he did best though, was realize that he wasn't scoring from the field, and subsequently decided to take his talents to the charity stripe—hitting 11-of-14 attempts.
Every time the Warriors tried to extend their lead or pull closer, Parsons seemed to nail a dagger three ball.
The Rockets need this win, as they continue to climb the playoff ladder out in the West. They are now just a single game behind the Warriors for the sixth seed, and more importantly, they are distancing themselves from the Utah Jazz and the L.A. Lakers who are battling for the eighth seed.
Big win for the Rockets, and a big loss for the Warriors.
Wing Problem = Harrison Barnes and his 10 field goals.
And that'll do it. The Warriors have a wing problem and it isn't getting better.— Ethan Strauss (@SherwoodStrauss) March 9, 2013
Just like I said: "The last thing the Warriors want in this possession is for Harrison Barnes to touch the ball unless he's within 10-inches of the rim."
Barnes jacked up a mid-range jumper and cost the Warriors a pivotal possession.

James lives at the line. Doing what he does. FT makes it 90-88 with 1:09 to go— Houston Rockets (@HoustonRockets) March 9, 2013
Harden knocks down one-of-two from the line—He's got 17 points (17.6 FG%), 11 assists, 6 rebounds.

The last thing the Warriors want in this possession is for Harrison Barnes to touch the ball unless he's within 10-inches of the rim.
Harden just missed a layup. Yep, it's that kind of night for him.
Harrison Barnes has put up 9 field goals. Yep, it's that kind of night for the Warriors.
Rockets 89, Warriors 88—1:09 remaining in the 4th quarter
8-of-10 from the line and 11 assists, when he's also 3-of-16 from the field.
Harden clearly knows how to help the Rockets without scoring from the field.

That foul-absorbing beard.— Ethan Strauss (@SherwoodStrauss) March 9, 2013
James Harden is in "take over" mode, even though he's had a horrendous shooting night. That's the sign of a lunatic or a great player.
Rockets 87, Warriors 86—2:55 remaining in the 4th quarter
Harden to the line, AGAIN. He knows how to get the the charity stripe, and that's the best thing he can do right now. It kills the pace of the game for the Warriors AND he's had a bad shooting night.
Why is Francisco Garcia in the game for the Rockets?
Chandler Parsons just continues to dominate this one with 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field.
On a side note, the Warriors are living at the foul line right now. #OverTheLimit
Rockets 86, Warriors 84—4:15 remaining in the 4th quarter
Omer Asik just got called on a loose ball foul for getting grabbed by Andrew Bogut. Bogut to the line for two free throws. Yep, that makes sense.
Rockets 82, Warriors 79—5:11 remaining in the 4th quarter
Steph Curry may have the quickest up-fake in the game. It's like a mini-head flick and the entire Rockets defense nearly jumps.
Rockets 82, Warriors 79—6:00 remaining in the 4th quarter
Even if James Harden is 0-of-1,000,000 it's never a good idea to give him space on the perimeter. Warriors just learned that.

Who's going to take this one over?
(A) James Harden
(B) Stephen Curry
(C) Chandler parsons
(D) David Lee
I'm going with (A) James Harden.
What a beautiful pass by James Harden—he can do so many things with the ball, he's not there yet, but he's the next best thing to a LeBron James' type player.
Warriors 76, Rockets 76—8:55 remaining in the 4th quarter
James Harden and Jeremy Lin are back in—I think it's safe to say they'll be in for the rest of the night.
Warriors 76, Rockets 73—10:00 remaining in the 4th quarter
Festus Ezeli can rebound like a monster. It's just a shame he can't do anything else.
Hasn't put up a shot, and has two turnovers on passes off of offensive rebounds.
Warriors 76, Rockets 73—10:45 remaining in the 4th quarter
The lineup started well with a beautiful turnover.
This Green-Jefferson-Ezeli lineup looks like a lead loser.— Ethan Strauss (@SherwoodStrauss) March 9, 2013
What are the odds that James Harden catches fire in the 4th quarter?
James Harden continues his awful, awful shooting night—2-of-14 from the floor (14.3 FG%)
It might be time for him to defer to Chandler Parsons, or maybe even give the ball to Jeremy Lin to penetrate.
Warriors 76, Rockets 73—end of the 3rd quarter
Jarrett Jack with some shake-and-bake on Carlos Delfino. Can't really defend that any better to be fair.
Warriors 76, Rockets 73—39.3 remaining in the 3rd quarter
