A review of University of Texas salary records revealed that Major Applewhite, Texas’ co-offensive coordinator who as an assistant football coach was disciplined in 2009 for an inappropriate relationship, received $15,000 in bonuses and supplemental pay that same year, but the extra money already had been guaranteed to him when he was hired the year before.
