Mets' Frank Francisco Making Progress, Working Towards Opening Day
Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

Frank Francisco is making progress towards pitching again, though his status for Opening Day is still in doubt. The Mets' reliever threw long toss today. He was supposed to go from 105 feet but said he threw from 130 instead. He followed it up by doing some flat ground pitching, including a few breaking balls. However, Francisco said he still needs to throw more to gain strength and power from the mound. The righthander still does not feel loose and says he needs to find his release point.
