Badgers' Ball Shows Improved Speed

Wisconsin running back Montee Ball said a sinus infection contributed to his pedestrian 40 time at the NFL Scouting Combine last month, when his 4.66 was 19th out of 33 tailbacks who worked out Feb. 24 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Ball improved his time dramatically at Wednesday's workout, posting times ranging from 4.46 to 4.51 on handheld stopwatches of scouts for 25 teams, including Packers general manager Ted Thompson. Thompson took a moment to visit with Ball.
