It's been about a year since we saw Zack Ryder involved in a steady feud.
Unfortunately, he went from a rising star to a crashing meteor in a matter of months. Since then, he has gone on several Twitter tirades about his spot.
Sadly, his complaints have fallen on deaf ears and nothing has changed for the "Broski."
It now appears that Ryder has found some common ground with his boss. Vince McMahon joined Twitter earlier this week. Fortunately, Ryder got wind of this move and sent McMahon the following tweet.
He must be given some credit for utilizing this platform to get through to his boss. Ultimately, Ryder has accumulated over a million Twitter followers and become one of the WWE's best merchandise sellers without receiving a major push from the company.
It should also be noted that he was the first WWE star to use social media as a tool to further his career. In fact, I think it's safe to say that he is the reason the company is currently so involved in social media.
Overall, I feel that Ryder's time in the WWE spotlight is probably behind him. Let's face it, if the company still can't figure out how to put Dolph Ziggler over, there is no way Ryder has a chance at being a champion again.
In the end, both Ryder and the WWE need to find a way to make his character work and be beneficial for both sides. If that doesn't happen, Ryder may want to follow in Colt Cabana's footsteps and find a new avenue to make him happy.
