MINNEAPOLIS – The last time Randy Wittman was at Target Center as a head coach, his Minnesota Timberwolves suffered a 23-point blowout loss to the Los Angeles Clippers and he was unemployed two days later.

More than four years later, Wittman was back in the place that he worked in some capacity for nearly 13 seasons with a different team and with a slightly different approach. In his third coaching stop, Wittman remains just as intense but more patient. He’s more willing to accept aggressive errors while still demanding an honest effort, having learned from his past failures...
