RALEIGH, N.C. — Carolina Hurricanes coach Kirk Muller may not have a choice when it comes to selecting a starting goaltender for Thursday night’s game against the Canadiens.

Cam Ward, the long-time No. 1, is out for two months with a sprained knee, while Dan Ellis has been suffering from the flu. That leaves journeyman Justin Peters as the likely starter as the Hurricanes hope to extend their current four-game winning streak.
