Kobe Bryant dropped 61, LeBron had 50 and came within a rebound of a triple double and Now Dwyane Wade puts on a performance with 55. What do all these great scoring outputs have in common? They were done at the hands of the unlucky Defensive lapsing New York Knicks.
Knicks fans have been witnesses to some of the most spectacular outputs of not only this season but in the last 10 to 15 years.
It's no secret to this point that the SSOL offense that Mike D'Antoni implements produces high-octane offense and low mileage Defense but if you give up over 150 points to three players in three games then your system needs to be adjusted and your wings fired especially when those three players are the most game planned for players in the NBA.
Now it's not time for a back to the drawingboard for the D'Antoni system seeing as it has enjoyed such great offensive success and be proven as a system that can win. But there has to be some one who is great at this style of play that plays formidable defense.
Steve Nash as brilliant as he is offensively is a defensive joke, and their players now look to be in the same mold (though not as brilliant)
But hey, at least they are fun to watch.
