As the Season Draws to a Close: A Birthday Wish-List

As the season draws to a close, I look back and remember the first days in August.
The hope for a season with memorable games, many wins, a few ties, and even fewer losses, in short the hope for a winning season.
Looking back on the past months I remember the dramatic comebacks which Liverpool seem to revel in.
I think back on those weeks in which Torres was injured, and we were still able to beat the likes of Manchester United.
But I also remember the matches which ended in a tie, and I long for some of the "lost points" as I dream of where we could be right now on the table.
I have been in awe of our form as of late, with our stunning victories over Real Madrid, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and most recently Blackburn.
As I look ahead towards the end of the season I have some wishes which I would like granted.
Wish One: Abstain from Injuries
Since Liverpool were plagued with injuries throughout the season from Torres in October, Agger most of the season, and our most recent injury, Gerrard's groin, which could have come at a better time.
So I wish for an injury free remainder of the season, so that Liverpool can continue the current form.
Wish Two: More Clean Sheets
It is my wish for Pepe Reina to keep as many clean sheets a possible for the remainder of the season.
This would go along way towards helping Liverpool continue on their current march forward.
Let's just take it one match at a time and I am sure that he is up to the task, after all, he is the winner of three golden gloves.
Wish Three: Gerrard Named PFA Player of the Year
I want to see Steven Gerrard named PFA player of year, is that so much to ask?
I don't think so.
He is a player that any team in the world would dream of being able to field.
He provides quality and leadership on and off the pitch, and he scores goals that are second to one coupled with match winners and comeback cup goals.
As Rafa said, "Stevie is one of the best players in the world."
He deserves this award.
Wish Four: Everton to Finish Seventh
I know it is a lot to ask but, I would love to see our Mersey neighbors finish below West Ham.
Yes I know it is a long shot, but hey it would be great to see them finish outside of Europe.
Wish Five: Liverpool to Win the Champions League
This too is a long shot after our performance mid-week but it is my birthday and I am going for some big wishes this year.
We have won it five times, and have knocked out Real Madrid this time around.
Liverpool make the most dramatic comebacks in the football world, make that the the world of sports!
Plus how amazing would it be to beat Manchester United in the final, while winning it in Rome for the third time!
Wish Six: League 19
I was only going to make five wishes but alas, I have more then five and therefore I shall make another.
More then anything else I would love to see the Mighty Reds win the League for an unprecedented 19th time.
I know we had a bit rotten midseason in which we drew many games, but we have recently regained our form and have been playing quite well.
I know that many of my wishes are long shots but there is no harm in wishing.
