Matthew Stafford Tells Former Georgia Teammates He Will Be a Lion

According to Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com, quarterback Matthew Stafford has been telling his former teammates at the University of Georgia that he will be the No. 1 pick overall and that it is a "done deal".

Also in the report is the money guaranteed in Stafford's potential contract, which could be over $40 million.

The Lions were thought to be deciding between Stafford, Baylor offensive tackle Jason Smith, Southern California quarterback Mark Sanchez, and Wake Forest linebacker Aaron Curry.
