John Wall hit two clutch jumpers down the stretch and scored the game's final six points as the Wizards held off the 76ers at Verizon Center, 90-87. The game started off to perfection, as Martell Webster recorded his league leading seventh four point play of the year on the Wizards first possession. Washington would lead by as many as eight in the first half but Philadelphia would claw back to within one by the close. The third quarter saw the Wizards jump out to a ten point lead but would go three minutes without a basket to allow the 76ers to go on an 8-0 run and cut the lead to two. The Wizards would gain back some of the momentum after the Sixers run on an AJ Price to Jan Vesely alley-oop at the third quarter horn.
