The Clippers sandwiched Serge Ibaka’s flagrant groin punch (examined below) with a pair of threes, completing the rare seven-point possession and seizing the lead (100-99) with less than two minutes to play. All the momentum was on their side. Then Russell Westbrook happened. OKC’s star guard was good all game, but turned great in the final 90 seconds, quickly seizing back the lead with a lighting fast drive and layup, followed by a beautiful drop-off (for an Ibaka dunk) and midrange dagger on the next two possessions.
