Dieng-Anchored Defense, Coupled with SU's Shooting Woes, Dooms the Orange

Syracuse, N.Y. — Saturday’s strategy seemed sound. Syracuse players have struggled all season to sink perimeter shots. The Orange had been attempting about 18 3-pointers each Big East game this season.
Syracuse’s lack of success from that distance — the 31 percent the Orange shoots from behind the arc — makes relying on the long ball a precarious proposition.
