In two starts this season, Paul Maholm showed Pirates fans why he was selected to be at the top of the rotation.

In Maholm's first start against St. Louis, he received a no decision while allowing two runs, only one earned. Paul Maholm kept the Pirates in the game until the end when Jack Wilson was able to clear the bases with a double to give the Pirates the winning runs of the night.

In Maholm's second start, he showed even more promise as he won the game allowing only one run. If the offense can stay stable and provide Maholm with run support this season, it looks like we will be seeing Paul during the All-Star game.
