Summing it up: One of the Spurs’ most unselfish performances in decades (see below) took a distant back seat to the sprained left ankle suffered by floor general/All-Star/MVP candidate Tony Parker. Injured late in the third quarter while converting one of his patented reverse layups, Parker needed help to the training room and did not return. Head coach Gregg Popovich offered a grim prognosis: “He’ll be out a while. It’s a good one. We’ll miss him.”
