The North Carolina Tar Heels (20-8, 10-5 ACC) dominated the Clemson Tigers (13-14, 5-10 ACC) through most of this game tonight. The Tigers made it a game late by closing withing seven points, but they never got any closer.

The Tar Heels hung in there to pull off the 68-59 win.

Strickland led the way for Carolina with 16 points, and all five starters finished with double digits in the scoring column.

Once again, this small Tar Heel lineup was able to keep down the turnovers and force plenty on the other end. UNC won the turnover battle 9-16.

Threes were raining down today from both teams, but that made the game pretty ugly in the second half when they weren't dropping anymore. Clemson and Carolina combined to attempt 40 treys tonight, as predicted in the pregame analysis.

The bad part is they only made 12 of them.

This wasn't a pretty game by any means, but it was one of the only dominant victories over Clemson at LittleJohn Coliseum this season.

That's something North Carolina can carry home with them tonight. The Tar Heels will be looking for their fifth-straight win, when they take on the Florida State Seminoles on Sunday.
