Sometimes television coverage of football should come with a certificated health warning.
Romanian broadcasters were on hand to record the goalless draw between Vaslui and CFR Cluj on Monday but were treated to an X-rated challenge as the lasting memory of the game.
Four minutes before the half-time whistle, Vaslui and Bulgaria full-back Zhivko Milanov chased down a ball through the middle of the field in a counter-attacking move.
However, Cluj defender Ricardo Cadu saw the danger and promptly made his move to prevent Milanov making any further progress.
Sadly, a combination of Bulgaria international Milanov putting his head down low to connect with the ball and Cadu's upward trajectory with his right foot to clear did not end well.
Milanov was taken to hospital after the loss of five teeth, while the match official branded the red card at Portuguese-born defender Cadu, who now has Romanian citizenship.
Vaslui coach Viorel Hizo was far from impressed with the challenge, as he told reporters it was "a crime."
Vaslui are fourth in the Romanian top tier, while Cluj, who are the defending champions, are sixth in the table.
Be warned before watching the video, though, this is a pretty brutal moment.
