LeBron James, Miami Heat Cap off Monster February Win Streak with 2OT Win

With a 141-129 double-overtime win over the Sacramento Kings, the Miami Heat won their 12th game in a row, finishing off February with a 12-1 record.

It was a struggle most of the way to slow down Sacramento, as Miami had a bit of an indifferent attitude on defense for the majority of the game, but luckily the Heat have these guys on their team who can score a ton of points.

Oh, and that explosive 40-point night LeBron had simply reminded us of another stellar performance from...LeBron, circa 2010.

Looking even further back, we find out that his game was even more interesting than it initially seemed.

Keeping on that train of things that haven't been done in ages, just take a look at the month that LeBron had in terms of efficiency.

LeBron took 200 shots on the nose and ended up making 130 of them. Of course, the difference between him and Kareem in 1983 is that Kareem was 7'2", while LeBron is all of 6'8".

Taking it just one step further while looking at Miami's two overtime periods, we can see just how potent its offense is.

Plenty of teams have won 12 in a row before, so this recent Heat run isn't unprecedented—it's meaningful.

Save the past few games in which they struggled with inferior teams, the Heat showed that all they needed was to play to the best of their abilities and no team can run with them. They hunkered down and stopped letting teams rain three-pointers down on them and suddenly look unbeatable.

Not only that, they're having a ball along the way, putting on a show in warm-ups, hamming to the crowd and just looking like they're having the best of times.

If this team streaks through the rest of the season and into the playoffs at this level, it's going to be a long summer for the rest of the league.
