Making a major league club’s opening day lineup off a strong spring training showing is the way Travis Buck has lived his life the past four springs.
“I welcome every at-bat I can get because that’s the only way I can prove what I can do,” Buck said Tuesday before hitting a line-drive, RBI single during the Padres sixth-run fourth in a 7-5 exhibition win over Cincinnati at Peoria Stadium.
