Big news for next week’s "Old School" Raw as it appears the company will once again be dusting off some old favorites and bring them back for one special night.

Shortly after the announcement, longtime WWE favorite and current Hall of Famer "Mean" Gene Okerlund took to Twitter to confirm his appearance for next week’s themed show,

Overall, this isn't too shocking, as Okerlund did the voice-over for the promo that aired during Raw.

Ultimately, I am a bit surprised that the company chose to have this type of show during WrestleMania season. The fact is, the company has too many holes to fill for "The Granddaddy of Them All" and can't afford to have shows like this taking up precious TV time.

That being said, I am hopeful that the WWE doesn't make its aging stars a focal point of this show. Yes, I get the premise of the show; I just feel that it was poorly timed. To me, the company could have easily run a show like this over the summer. It would have allowed some of their stars time to take a Monday off or given them a lighter load post-'Mania.

Let's face it. This is probably the most stressful time of the year for the company and its current stars. So giving them a much-needed break after WrestleMania would not be a bad thing.

In the end, this show is already slated for next week, so all we can do is hope for solid entertaining.
