The Denver Nuggets blasted off to an early lead on Monday at Pepsi Center and never looked back, defeating the visiting Los Angeles Lakers 119-108.
At the half, the Nuggets were leading 69-54. The Lakers made a small run in the second half, but it ultimately wasn't enough.
Los Angeles shot 55 percent from the floor, including 8-of-19 from downtown, but Denver scored 22 points off 15 Lakers turnovers and racked up 33 points on the fast break.
The Nuggets also scored 78 points in the paint and out-rebounded the Lakers 44-36 (including 13 offensive rebounds).

Ty Lawson posted 22 points, eight assists, four rebounds and one steal on Monday night. He also posted a plus/minus of plus-11 in 41 minutes of action.
