Mike Trout singled in his first spring at-bat and Hank Conger drove in five runs on Monday, but the Angels gave up seven runs in the final three innings of a 9-8 loss to the Seattle Mariners.
Trout singled, walked and scored two runs in his three plate appearances. Center fielder Peter Bourjos walked twice, scored twice and singled; he has reached base in every plate appearance this spring.
