2008 NFL Draft: San Diego Chargers Draft Strategy

Brian HarrisContributor IJanuary 15, 2017

The San Diego Chargers do not have many pressing needs so they have the luxury of picking the best player available at the right tackle, safety, corner back, and running back positions.

If a dominant player such as a Dan Conner or Kenny Phiilips slips to the chargers at 27 they'll take them for sure or trade down for extra draft picks.

Look for them to take a player such as Gosder Cherlius or Matt Forte if they trade back into the second round.

On day two look for them to add depth on both sides of the line as well as safety and linebacker.
