It seems even Zack Wheeler believed the hype. The Mets pitching phenom made his much-anticipated Grapefruit League debut Saturday afternoon and needed a little intervention. After walking the first batter he faced, Wheeler yanked a fastball, which hit off the edge of catcher John Buck's glove and crashed into the backstop.
