New York Knicks vs. Toronto Raptors: Live Score, Results and Game Highlights

John Dorn@johnsdornCorrespondent IIIFebruary 22, 2013

The New York Knicks weren't able to take advantage of a big opportunity against a lesser team Friday, and lost out to the Toronto Raptors.

Rudy Gay took over in the fourth quarter with 16 points, as Toronto maintained a 13-point lead for some time. The Knicks were able to regain the lead briefly in the fourth thanks to some instant offense from J.R. Smith, but Kyle Lowry converted on a tough runner over Tyson Chandler late to take the lead that they'd never relinquish.

The Knicks drop their fourth straight, and and fall to third in the East for the first time since November. They're averaging 15 turnovers during the streak, which is extremely telling since the Knicks turn the ball over the least out of any NBA team.

The Knicks have lost their way, and they'll need to pick it up if they hope to advance deep into the postseason.
