Denny Hamlin will enter the Daytona 500 with far more support than he has ever known, the new dad will have a cheering section of girlfriend Jordan Fish and their baby daughter, Taylor James Hamlin. 

There was a little bit of a scare for the 32-year old driver on the way into Sunday's big race, because he managed to get caught up with Carl Edwards and Trevor Bayne during the Sprint Cup Budweiser Duel qualifier, via Fox Sports. 

Not to worry, because Hamlin's longtime girlfriend has an update for us. 

Thankfully, we will see a great deal more of him (and quite possibly the mother of his baby girl) on Sunday. 

In January, NASCAR broke news that Hamlin and Fish welcomed into the world the couple's first child, making the pits resemble a nursery more than it had previously. 

The Orlando Sentinel recently reported on all the wives and children popping up around NASCAR, making the season more of a family affair.

Skirts and Scuffs had an interview with Hamlin's girlfriend last year and explained how the two met. If the Charlotte Bobcats can't be counted on to win ball games, they can do their best to get two people to fall in love. 

Fish is a former Bobcats dancer and explains how the chance meeting all went down.

I was dancing for the Bobcats and the dancers sit on the sidelines while the game is going on. Denny has two friends, Jason White, who is a (NCWTS) truck driver, and Ron Herbert, who owns Red Rock Café. Denny used to race go-karts with Jason growing up. They were sitting on the sideline and Denny was across on the other side of the court.

Jason and Ron asked me, “Do you like guys who take left turns?” I was like, “What? What are they talking about?” I knew nothing about NASCAR. The whole time, the security guard is saying, “Sir, you can’t talk to the cheerleaders.” They said, “Do you know any NASCAR drivers?” I was like “Um, Dale Gordon?” I didn’t know a thing.

Well, she knows a great deal more and offers this tweet on the latest qualifier. 

The two exchanged pleasantries at the Bobcats game but Fish was taken at the time. Months later she approached him for sponsorship for the Miss South Carolina USA pageant, and they ended up having dinner. 

I had such a good time with him that I didn’t even care if I got the sponsorship money at that point. When we hugged, I had butterflies in my stomach. It was the first time we hugged. And so then he runs in the house and gets me a check for my sponsorship—it was so sweet.

We were inseparable for about two weeks straight before I went to school. We just clicked. I remember him asking me to be his girlfriend the day before I left for college.

The two have been an item since 2007, with various breaks in the relationship due to such trying schedules.

But now they head into a wonderful time in their relationship, one that has produced a beautiful baby girl.
