Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider had a pretty self-satisfied air about him when he met with reporters on Thursday at the NFL Scouting Combine.
And why not? After watching the media rip apart his selection of Bruce Irvin last year prior to the rookie turning in an excellent 2012 campaign—not to mention his third-round pick, Russell Wilson, turning into a viable starting quarterback who helped guide the team to the second round of the NFL playoffs—well, Schneider has reason to be satisfied.
That doesn't mean that he or the organization plan to rest on their laurels. There's still a division to be won, and the pesky San Francisco 49ers stand in their way in that regard. But Schneider made it clear that this team will continue to march to its own beat and try to get better each and every day.
